On October 29, 2021, the amendments to the Labor Code, which establish several support measures for employers and employees, entered into force.
Following the changes, employers will have the right, in case of suspension of the educational process with a physical presence in educational institutions, once the competent authorities have ordered special measures to ensure the safety, protection of life and health of the population, to grant days off to one of the parents for the supervision of the children during the suspension of the educational process in the regime of physical presence, with the payment of an indemnity equal to at least 50% of the basic salary of the employee.
Recommendation: If you intend to apply this measure, we recommend consulting the Regulation on the granting of allowances from the state budget to employees with children up to 12 years old and children with disabilities, who benefit from days off if the educational process is suspended in the regime of physical presence (link).
