One of the ways of acquiring and protecting the rights over a trademark is its registration under the law at the national office in the field of protection of intellectual property rights.
The brand can represent any sign (visual, audible, olfactory, tactile) that serves to individualize and distinguish the products or services of one entrepreneur from those of another entrepreneur.
The rights acquired by registering the trademark in the National Register of Trademarks are confirmed by the title of protection – the trademark registration certificate.
The registration of the trademark confers on the owner the exclusive right over it, the latter may prohibit third parties from using identical signs in their commercial activity.
The trademark is registered for a period of 10 years, and the registration can be renewed for consecutive periods of 10 years whenever necessary.
Recommendation: If you intend to protect the right to a trademark, we recommend its registration with the State Intellectual Property Agency.
