On October 29, 2021, the amendments to the Labor Code, which establish several support measures for employees, entered into force.
As a result of the new changes, employers will be obliged to grant employees days off, while maintaining the average salary, in case of the state of emergency, siege, and war, as well as in case of the state of emergency in public health, for the implementation of special measures on ensuring the safety, protection of life and health of the population (e.g., vaccination of employees).
Recommendation: Consult the Regulation on granting compensations from the state budget to the employees for the implementation of special measures to ensure the safety, protection of life, and health of the population (link).
